Peter 7th December 2017

From Peter (and Maybelle kou): While in Hong Kong, we shared our Hunter Impala taking our children out sailing and swimming; and took it to many races and to Macao a few times, I got hooked on sailing and Mike got into golfing along with working on a golf course project. The mnay cherished moments were shared bouncing thoughts and ideas over dinner after our weekly squash game at the Aberdeen Boat Club, often the last table to leave at closing time. The most cherished is Mike's visit to our retirement home in 2004 in Maryland USA. We went boating, fishing while on our pier, twigs were littered at random until Mike deduced that the big birds, the Osprey were trying to build a nest ( Ospreys are not good builders). Together, we cut a sizable piece of plywood nailed a 5 gallon bucket to it. Then we paddled out to a outer pier woodpost and dropped the bucket over the post, thus having a platform which was soon claimed by the birds quickly creating a nest. Of the many projects we worked on together in HK they were no match to this foundation platform; because every year come Spring, and this has been 13 years; the same pair will return replenish their nest on the same platform, to start another family for our enjoyment. Even the people in our neighborhood would come and chat and thank us for hosting this wild life watch, on our doorstep. Here's to you Mike for your long friendship and thank you for the living memory. R.I.P
